Asian-Style Turkey Burgers

Serves 4-6

1 lb ground turkey
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp. finely chopped onion
2 tbsp. finelychopped green or red pepper
1 tbsp. low-sodium soy sauce or tamari wheat-free soy sauce
2 tsp. peeled, grated gingerroot
4 whole-grain hamburger buns (substitute as needed with spelt, etc)

Coat grill rack with nonstick cooking spray. Preheat grill to medium-high (350-400 degrees). Combine turkey, garlic, onion, peppers, soy sauce, ginger and salt and pepper to taste in large bowl. Divide turkey mixture into 4 portions and shape into patties. Grill 6-8 minutes per side or until done (170 degrees). Serve on buns.
